It was a Friday in early spring in 1986 and Madonna was blasting from the video screens that were everywhere in the Covent Garden Gym in the heart of London. The gym was considered by some to be intimidating, as the walls were covered in mirrors, providing no hiding place for any extra pounds or inches. Sarah didn't really care, as she was addicted to the gym, coming here whenever she could. Her straight shoulder length brown hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail and with sweat dripping from her body, she pounded the track on the treadmill, having already covered 5km, but she still pushed on at a steady pace.
